Sunshine Day Nursery opened October 2002, ownership changed November 2003.

 

It is now owned by Linda and Terence Horncastle.

The two directors of the company are Linda Horncastle, and Lee Horncastle

 

Linda Horncastle has decades of experience in childcare, 20 of the years she run a childcare project for Save the Children Fund with a further ten years as Area Manager to a chain of Nurseries Linda Horncastle has a NNEB Qualification, is a NVQ Assessor and has also completed a Diploma in Childcare and Education, level four.

 

The Westcliff nursery is a grade 2 listed building which stands in the grounds of Clatterfield Gardens, Westcliff. We have a large secure garden in quiet surroundings and off road parking is available to the side of the building. It is a 53 day nursery catering for 12 weeks to 5 years and has before and after school facilities. Security and safety are paramount and we have 24 hour CCTV surveillance

 

All staff are qualified and fully trained in early years and have enhanced disclosure barring checks to ensure the safety of the children. All our staff are qualified to level 3 or above. We have 6 staff who have higher qualifications. All staff are chosen for their kind and cheerful disposition and their genuine love of children.

 

As your child will spend so much time with us it is important to us at Sunshine Day Nursery that your children are happy and we endeavor to provide good quality care from birth to eight years with a friendly, happy environment that is an extension of their home with the emphasis on learning through play. We operate a key worker system in all rooms which we feel is important for continuity of your children's care. Staff will always be on hand if you have any questions or queries.
